IMMERSIVE MEDIA CENTER - HEALTHCARE

Innovation in care: virtual reality as clinical and therapeutic support

Less anxiety and less pain to redefine the future of care

High levels of anxiety and stress in patients during waiting times and hospital stays hinder the work of healthcare staff, especially in paediatrics or during invasive examinations, where traditional TV isn’t enough to draw attention away from the clinical setting.
To overcome this discomfort, Immersive Media Center was created: a catalogue of 360° VR content and applications focused on nature, travel and meditation, designed to offer a controlled therapeutic escape. With simple, self-guided use requiring minimal staff support, the patient – even bedridden – puts on the headset and activates a powerful immersive distraction capable of instantly reducing emotional distress.
VR Analgesia and non-pharmacological distraction to offer immediate clinical relief capable of significantly reducing the perception of pain and emotional distress.
Better patient cooperation during clinical examinations, therapies and delicate procedures, optimising operating times and making the work of the medical team easier.
Safety and scalability without dedicated staff thanks to a centralised system that allows protocols to be managed independently and on a large scale.
Audience
Public and private hospitals, medical centres, care homes, reception and rehabilitation centres, specialist clinics.

Use cases
Waiting rooms, pre-operative rooms, hospital wards, during examinations (e.g. blood tests) or therapies (e.g. chemotherapy).

THE PROBLEMS IT SOLVES

High levels of anxiety and stress affecting patients and families during waiting times and hospital stays, hindering operations and the work of healthcare staff.
Complexity in managing patients who are uncooperative or in severe emotional distress, a critical issue felt especially in paediatric wards or during invasive examinations.
Isolation and altered perception of time experienced by inpatients, psychological factors that amplify overall discomfort and the feeling of wasted time.
Limits of traditional entertainment such as the in-room TV, which does not offer a sufficient degree of immersion to truly draw attention away from the clinical setting.
