Ance Belluno

Mixed Reality for a journey through the construction sites of the Belluno area

2025

How do you tell the story of eighty years of ingenuity, construction sites and regional transformation without limiting yourself to panels, archive images or traditional presentations? For ANCE Belluno, WAY created a Mixed Reality experience that turns the Belluno area into an interactive digital scale model. Users explore five major engineering works, activate points of interest, view 3D models and discover the technical, human and entrepreneurial challenges that have shaped the area.

Objective

Showcasing the historical, social and technical contribution of construction firms in the Belluno area, telling the story of some landmark works built from the post-war period to today in an accessible and engaging way. The goal was to make visible what often remains hidden: the complexity of construction sites, environmental challenges, technical solutions and the concrete impact of infrastructure on community life.

Strategy

WAY created a Mixed Reality experience (via Meta Quest 3) based on a 3D digital scale model of the Belluno area, explorable using natural gestures and hand tracking. Five interactive points of interest on the map are dedicated to major engineering works: by activating the pins, users access 3D models, photos, historical data and audio. The aim is to tell the story of each project as a challenge overcome, bringing together territory, enterprise, innovation and social impact.

Results
