Miró VR Experience is an artistic and sensory piece that uses Virtual Reality (VR) to tell the story of Joan Miró’s dreamlike universe in a single, powerful visual flow. The project links the artist’s biography to the genesis of his abstract language, offering a unified narrative between symbolism and mysticism. The experience moves through three ethereal settings inspired by the master’s work: from his early chromatic experiments to his celebrated constellations, through to the maturity of the graphic signs that redefined 20th-century art.
Translating abstraction and surrealism into a three-dimensional space, going beyond the limits of the classic viewing of a painting. The project aims to make the artist’s mental spaces and visions tangible, making the poetic meaning of his recurring icons clear and understandable.
A multimedia experience in Location-Based Experience (LBE) format, made up of a single continuous 6-minute Virtual Reality (VR 3DoF) piece. The use of headsets turns static contemplation into a dynamic vision, placing the audience within chromatic, sign-filled settings inspired by the master.
Spatialising art: Immersive technology allows visitors to physically inhabit Miró’s paintings, increasing emotional engagement and the memorability of the aesthetic experience.
Making abstraction accessible: The combination of authorial narration and digital fruition gives broad audiences and schools the ideal tools to instantly decode complex art forms.
Exhibition flexibility: An agile, time-compact installation format, specifically designed to fit within exhibitions and museum settings as a seamless extension of the cultural offering.
