EN PLEIN AIR

We have reinterpreted the concept of EN PLEIN AIR to create an open-air immersive museum, where painting meets nature.

In the heart of the Botanical Garden of Turin Inside Monet lets you experience art just as the artist himself did: surrounded by natural light and the sounds of the landscape.

THE ARTWORKS

Impression, Sunrise (1872)

From Monet's studio in Giverny, let yourself be captivated by the colours and shapes of the painting that gave the Impressionist movement its name, and experience first-hand the emotions Monet himself felt as he admired the dawn over the port of Le Havre.

Poppies (1873)

Immerse yourself in the snapshot of a moment, outdoors, in front of a stretch of scarlet poppies, and feel for yourself the summer air and the quality of light of the Île-de-France region that Monet sought to “capture” by painting en plein air.

The Walk (1875)

Experience one of the walks that Monet's wife used to take with their son on warm summer days on the hills of Argenteuil. Be amazed by Camille's dress billowing in the breeze and the grass swaying in the pleasant summer wind that sweeps across the whole landscape.

Haystacks (1890-91)

Let yourself be transported into “Haystacks”: in front of a sun-drenched field and mounds of hay, with light that shifts as if across a clear day, exploring the theme of changing light and colour effects on the haystacks, a subject the painter held dear.

Water Lily Pond (1899)

Monet considered his garden at Giverny his finest masterpiece, and it was here that his series of works featuring water lilies was born. Step into the final painting, into the harmony of colours and brushstrokes combining with the effects of water and natural light.
