THE JOURNEY

The itinerary unfolds through a constant dialogue between the Ligurian landscape and the French artistic revolution, structured in two complementary stages:
En Plein Air – A Sensory Walk Through the Parchi di Nervi
Accompanied by a cultural guide, you'll begin the tour letting your gaze wander among the park's evocative sights, learning to capture the reflections, light and scents of nature, just as Claude Monet did. From the centuries-old foliage of the Mediterranean shrubs to the shimmering expanse of the sea: our guide will help you trace, within the Parchi di Nervi, that fleeting beauty and shifting sky the Master sought in his own garden. A genuine preparation of the eye before immersing yourself in the heart of the artwork.
Inside Monet at the Raccolte Frugone – Between Masterpieces and Virtual Immersion
Still by your guide's side, filled with the sensations gathered outdoors, you'll cross the threshold of Villa Grimaldi Fassio. In the elegant rooms of the Museo Raccolte Frugone, the story deepens: your guide will lead you through the works in the collection, creating a dialogue between the museum's treasures and Monet's universe. Here, wearing VR headsets, the walls will vanish and you'll be projected directly into the Master's paintings. Giverny arrives in Nervi in a journey that blends historical storytelling with cutting-edge technology.
STEP INSIDE MONET'S PAINTINGS
Five masterpieces, one single reality.
Through VR technology, you'll physically step inside five iconic works:

Impression, Sunrise (1872)

From Monet's studio in Giverny, let yourself be captivated by the colours and shapes of the painting that gave the Impressionist movement its name, and experience first-hand the emotions Monet himself felt as he admired the dawn over the port of Le Havre.

Poppies (1873)

Immerse yourself in the snapshot of a moment, outdoors, in front of a stretch of scarlet poppies, and feel for yourself the summer air and the quality of light of the Île-de-France region that Monet sought to “capture” by painting en plein air.

The Walk (1875)

Experience one of the walks that Monet's wife used to take with their son on warm summer days on the hills of Argenteuil. Be amazed by Camille's dress billowing in the breeze and the grass swaying in the pleasant summer wind that sweeps across the whole landscape.

Haystacks (1890-91)

Let yourself be transported into “Haystacks”: in front of a sun-drenched field and mounds of hay, with light that shifts as if across a clear day, exploring the theme of changing light and colour effects on the haystacks, a subject the painter held dear.

Water Lily Pond (1899)

Monet considered his garden at Giverny his finest masterpiece, and it was here that his series of works featuring water lilies was born. Step into the final painting, into the harmony of colours and brushstrokes combining with the effects of water and natural light.
