“Think Big” .Think in an innovative way to the challenges of the future.
This was the reflection that led the event, organized by Ubi Banca at the Leonardo Da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, which saw Marco Pizzoni, CEO of Way and Simona Maschi, founder of the Copenhagen Institute Of Interaction Design, as guests and speakers. “Innovation is neither input nor output. Innovation is a behavior “explained Simona Maschi who added” A behavior that makes us the best version of ourselves by combining continuous learning, strategy and venturing. Innovation as behavior is based on the assumption that the company is a living and dynamic organism centered on the people who create the organization on their passions and potential”.
The researcher then brought some examples related to her daily life: «In Denmark innovation is used to improve people’s quality of life. It is an open innovation intervention in which everyone is called to contribute to this common vision by doing their part and technology can help a lot: it makes us aware, involved and responsible for this system change. This is also one of the aims promoted by the Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the United Nations. It is a call to humanity. We can all contribute in our lives in giving a better future to the new generations ».
Her intervention introduced some fundamental points of Way’s corporate mission as narrated by Marco Pizzoni: «Starting from the reality that surrounds us, we create innovative projects to sensitize people about the historical, arctic, naturalistic and cultural beauties of this world- explained Pizzoni – I listened to people, I got contaminated to get rich in ideas. Each of us is a creator, a start-upper. The secret of Start-ups, in fact, is to start from a Yes, from choosing people who contaminate each other, trust each other, believe in the common dream and give energy ». Energy to give a shape to a better future: «It takes space to meet us, to see the future – concluded Pizzoni – If you don’t have a space to see the future, there is no present. It takes space to dream, excite, change, try, it takes space to make mistakes. It takes space to have courage». Innovators need space. They need a space to think about the future where people can meet in eco-sustainable and technological environments. They need a space where they can start creating, experimenting, where they can fail and then get up and start dreaming again. Innovators need space because creating a better society is not an easy task, but in the right environments this dream can become reality for this we thank Ubi Banca for giving us the opportunity to be able to tell our little big reality at its event “You Bis. Think Big “.
